Below are FUE objectives, services and benefits

Objectives

  • To promote and encourage consultation amongst its members on matters concerning Employment and Industrial Development.
  • To advice and cooperate with the Government of Uganda and with others in the promotion of Employment Interests and Industrial Development.
  • To promote and encourage Labour Market and other surveys and the collection and dissemination amongst employers statistical information and to provide information and advice on all matters relating to such interests.
  • To collaborate with the Government of Uganda and other Bodies in surveying requirements of Employers in the fields of skilled and specialized personnel manpower development and promotion of schemes for Training of personnel locally and abroad.
  • To advise Employers on labour Disputes and to present and arrange for their representation of Employers in any proceedings before the Arbitration Board, Committees of inquiry, Industrial Courts or other Judicial and Quasi-Judicial Bodies.
  • To initiate, promote, support or approve legislative and other measures affecting or likely to affect the interests of employers.
  • To provide expertise in industrial relations especially in negotiations, handling of labour disputes, including strikes, and concluding collective agreements.
  • To develop HIV/AIDS workplace solutions aimed at creating awareness and mitigating the impact of the scourge through a programme of AIDS Education and Prevention in the Work Place and the development of HIV/AIDS workplace I.E.C materials.
  • To lobby government on matters affecting members and advocate for an enabling and conducive business environment.
  • To promote youth employability program including; sensitizing the youth on career guidance, ethics and work attitudes, recruitment processes, labour market information and employers expectations.

Membership Category

  1. Associate Membership Category. The additional benefits include:
    • Capacity Building in Negotiation Skills
